Herbert Condrus (b. 1891, d. 1939) was a Russian-born German painter who studied at the St. Petersburg Academy before being deported during World War I. He exhibited in Berlin in the 1920s. His works ranges from intimate figurative portraits to eco-symbolic scenes, often with a lyrical touch. In 1934, he applied for state support through the Prussian Academy of Arts, submitting photographs of his paintings. He died a few years later, 1939 in Berlin, shortly before the outbreak of World War II.
